MATTHEW L HARRIS was admitted to the practice of law in the State of Utah in 2004. He was born in El Cajon, California, but grew up in Orange County, California. After sixteen years in Southern California, he moved to Hurricane, Utah, and graduated from Hurricane High School in 1993. He enlisted in the Navy as a hospital corpsman soon thereafter where he acquired leadership skills while serving his country. After receiving an honorable discharge, He obtained an Associate of Science from Dixie State University in 2001 and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Utah the following year. He attended law school at the University of Utah, receiving his Juris Doctor degree in 2004. He is admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Utah and is an active member of the Utah State Bar, Southern Utah Bar, and a former member of the American Bar Association, and Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Matthew is a former adjunct faculty member for Dixie State University (St. George, Utah), where he taught American Government. Matthew was a licensed foster care providers with the State of Utah and is dedicated to reaching out to those in need.
